Rio – Flamengo hired few, but invested heavily for the 2024 season. agreement with center forward Carlinhos, from Nova Iguaçu, Rubro-Negro surpassed the R$160 million mark in reinforcements this year. The 27-year-old player was only the fourth signed and also the cheapest investment.

The Nova Iguaçu center forward is the second top scorer in the Carioca Championship and caught the attention of the red and black board. Flamengo paid R$3.2 million for the signing. The amount paid for the player contrasts with what was spent on midfielder De La Cruz, left-back Matías Viña and defender Léo Ortiz.

Flamengo spent R$161.3 million on reinforcements, without considering possible bonuses provided for in the agreements. Midfielder De La Cruz was the most expensive and cost R$77.7 million. Before the agreement with Carlinhos, the red-black board estimated around R$16 million available to invest in reinforcements in 2024.
