Honest Market Brasil franchise will expand in Minas Gerais

-

The independent minimarket franchise company Honest Market Brasil plans to open another 28 points of sale in Minas Gerais throughout 2024. Currently, the company has 23 franchises in the State. In February alone, there was a 44% increase in the number of units compared to the same month of the previous year.

The partner, co-founder and expansion director of Honest Market Brasil, Murilo Specchio, reveals that one of these 28 new operations will be opened in the city of Santa Luzia, in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte (RMBH), in April. In addition, the franchise network also launched a pot in Contagem last week.

Minas is the third Brazilian state with the most points of sale for the brand, behind only São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. The company’s expected growth in the State exceeds twice the current number of mining units.

According to Specchio, the Minas Gerais market has competitive growth potential. “I believe that what motivated the growth in the State was the increasing precision of residents in having a purchasing model that makes their daily lives easier”, he assesses.

According to the executive, the often troubled daily life of Minas Gerais residents results in a greater search for consumption alternatives without queues, which are easy, agile and bring convenience. “Which is the case with autonomous minimarkets,” he says.

For him, The advancement of building construction both in Minas Gerais and in other states is also a factor that will benefit the implementation and expansion of this business model. With this in mind, according to Specchio, Honest Market Brasil has worked to reinforce its communication with construction companies to demonstrate the importance of adhering to the model for condominiums.

Honest Market Brasil plans in the national market

According to the company’s expansion director, Honest Market Brasil intends to expand its operations to all Brazilian regions and explore the potential of each of them. The objective is to double the number of units in all cities where the company is already present this year. In parallel to this, the franchisor seeks to open points of sale in regions that do not yet have this market model.

He explains that the brand’s expansion project both in Minas Gerais and in other states in the country is based on the interest of investors in the business model.

The investment in the business is R$40 thousand, including franchise fee. The return on investment period is between 10 and 12 months, with average annual revenue of R$16,000.

Specchio highlights that there are several advantages to operating in the autonomous minimarkets segment, the main one being the fact of investing in an already tested business model. “Although it is a relatively new segment, there is a lot of data, research and indicators that prove the benefits of the solution”, he adds.

Another advantage, in the executive’s opinion, is the absence of employee costs. “As it is a model that practically operates alone, investments like this are unnecessary. It’s a business that can be controlled in an automated way,” he explains.

He also highlights that this is a sector that tends to grow even more, due to the increase in building construction and the search for demand for innovative solutions. “The search for convenience is a need that is expected to increase more and more and autonomous minimarkets meet this requirement”, he concludes.
