The Federal Highway Police (PRF) recovered three vehicles, two of which were reported stolen and one for misappropriation, this Wednesday (27). The approaches took place in BRs 408, 407 and 232, in the municipalities of Paudalho, Petrolina and São Caetano.

During inspection by the Petrolina Traffic Inspection Group, the Crosser S motorcycle caught the team’s attention, as it had been reported stolen since December last year, in Recife. Upon starting the approach, the driver declared that he had rented the motorcycle to provide ride-hailing services. He also said that he makes monthly transfers for the rental of the vehicle, having all the receipts.

In Paudalho, the team was called due to an abandoned car on BR-408. During identification, tampering with the vehicle’s identifying signs was found, in addition to an incident of theft. Six rounds of ammunition were also found inside the car. 9mm.

In São Caetano, during an inspection on BR-232, a truck was ordered to stop. After consultation, the police discovered a record of misappropriation, registered with the Civil Police of Paulínia/SP, to the detriment of the company responsible for leasing the vehicle. This company would have rented nine trucks that should have been returned in February this year, but only two of them were delivered. The driver claimed to have no knowledge of the crime, and that he had been a duly registered employee of the company for over a year.

In view of the facts, the vehicles and their drivers were sent to the Civil Police of each location.
