Digital influencer Samara Mapoua, 30 years old, was arrested in the early hours of Tuesday (26), on Avenida Brasil, in Rio de Janeiro. Samara was arrested for illegal possession of a firearm, and five other people were also arrested.
According to information from the Military Police, the influencer was in a car with five people who disobeyed a stop order from the authorities of the 22nd Military Police Battalion, in Bonsucesso, Rio de Janeiro. They fled along Avenida Brasil towards the West Zone.
The military managed to catch up with Samara and the group of friends, finding a 380-caliber pistol with a shaved number hidden under one of the vehicle’s seats. At the police station, the influencer confessed that the gun was hers.
Samara underwent a custody hearing this Wednesday (27) and the prison was converted into preventive by the judge. On social media, the influencer’s boyfriend said he cannot clarify the case for legal reasons.
