To mark its 70 years of history in Brazil, the NETZSCH opens a new factory in Pomerode. Construction began in August 2021, comprising an industrial building of 5,700 square meters and an administrative building for 1,800 square meters.
The new space plays a central role in the company’s strategic direction. It will be used to produce and supply the global market with high-quality screw pumps, specially designed for demanding applications.
Furthermore, the new factory will expand the production capacity of other product lines at the existing unit in the city.
“Thanks to the new NOTOS® screw pump factory, we will significantly increase our production capacity in Brazil. Our customers will benefit from even more powerful pumps and shorter delivery times in the future“, highlights Osvaldo Ferreirageneral director of NETZSCH do Brasil.
New factory allows for greater capacity and more powerful pumps
Current production of screw pumps is designed for pump sizes up to 1,000 kilowatts. In the future, it will be possible to achieve up to 2,000 kilowatts.
The demand for screw pumps with powerful performance is exceptionally high in the oil and gas sector.
“The NOTOS® factory will be the global flagship for screw pump production across the entire NETZSCH Group and will allow us to enter new markets“, he adds.
However, the new factory in Brazil is not just setting new standards in terms of production capacity. New paths were also taken in relation to sustainability and efficiency. In addition to creating almost 90 new jobs in the region.
