A Legislative Assembly of Santa Catarina (Alesc) approved the prohibition consumption of cigarette and derivatives of tobacco us parks of State. Approval takes place after favorable opinions from the Constitution and Justice Committees; Finance and Taxation; Health; Tourism and Environment.
According to deputy Jair Miotto (Union), author of the project, the law aims to guarantee quality of life and good examples to children and provide health to the adults who frequent state parks.

According to the project, publicity must take place through the official website of the State of Santa Catarina and in places that are easily accessible and visible to the public who frequent the parks, through signs.
Financial Education Policy
Bill 149/2023, authored by deputy Rodrigo Minotto (PDT), was also approved, which establishes the Financial Education Policy in Santa Catarina.

According to Minotto, financial education is an extremely important subject in today’s society. “Despite being so necessary, many people do not have the knowledge to manage their finances efficiently, which can lead to negative consequences, such as over-indebtedness, which affects many people around the world.”
With the approved bill, the intention is to create a set of integrated actions aimed at promoting financial education, financial planning, debt and investment management, as well as preventing over-indebtedness and consumer protection.
