Brega Awards: voting for the best rhythm performers in Pernambuco in 2023 is open; see categories

The best singers, dancers, bands and revelations of brega from Pernambuco in 2023, among other categories, can be chosen by the public in a vote that remains open for the 4th edition of the event, whose theme is “O Brega é do Povo” and takes place the next day April 3 at Teatro do Parque.

Available on official event websitevoting can be given in all 21 categories, and the popular vote added to the vote of the technical judging committee will be considered.

Diversity and Creativity
Created in 2020, the Brega Awards were designed to highlight cultural diversity, creativity and also the talent of artists who undertake brega.

“We are very happy to reach this fourth edition as the only award to honor the brega scene, valuing music and the artists who dedicate themselves to it, recognizing their importance and contribution to Brazilian culture.
This edition promises to be another success, and the public can now get ready to vote for their favorite artists”, highlights Eduardo Lacerda, creator of the award.

The winners of each category will receive a replica of the Brega Awards trophy.

Among those nominated for the “Best Singer” category are Elvis, Roginho and Tocha.

Among the “Best Singers” nominated are, in addition to Priscila Senna and Rapahela Santos, Dany Myler, Grazi Almeida, Tayara and Ziane.

In the “Best Clip” category, “Olha pra Trás e Joga” (MC Tróia) and “Famoso Chá de Cama” (MC Mari/Feat Thammy), among others, compete. Among those nominated for the award for “Revelação”, Andriely, Noara and Trovão are part of the category.

“Te Beijo Chorando”, by Priscila Senna, and “Você Remember”, by Raphaela Santos, are some of the nominated compositions.

Raphaela also competes with “Quem é o Louco Entre Nós” and “Eu Não Sou Ela”, as well as “Como Dói”, in partnership with Banda Sentimentos.
