Eleven cities in ES will receive 34 new Basic Health Units

Investments are part of the strategic goals that aim to provide health care to Espírito Santo by 2032

Residents of 11 cities in the North of Espírito Santo will receive 34 new Basic Health Units (UBS) as part of the Ten-Year Primary Health Care Plan (SUS APS+10 Ten-Year Plan). The State government will invest R$78.1 million with the aim of facilitating the population’s access to health services.

The units will be built in Água Doce do Norte, Barra de São Francisco, Conceição da Barra, Ecoporanga, Jaguaré, Montanha, Nova Venécia, Pinheiros, Ponto Belo, São Mateus and Vila Pavão.

This measure is aligned with the strategic goals of the state government, which plans to provide health care to Espírito Santo until 2032. Currently, the bidding and construction process for 110 units is underway, with a total investment of more than R$317 million, covering 52 municipalities in all regions of the State.

“Strengthening Primary Care is fundamental, as it represents the population’s gateway to health services. With the construction of new Health Units, the State Government aims to provide a better quality of life for people, who will be served increasingly closer to their homes”, highlighted the regional health superintendent of the North region, Edilson Monteiro.
