The State Department of Education of Mato Grosso (Seduc-MT) established, this Tuesday (26.03), the No Student Less program, with the aim of combating school dropout and guaranteeing access and permanence of children and adolescents in school environment. Ordinance no. 248, which establishes the program, was published in the Official State Gazette.

One of the first planned actions is the creation of the Intersectoral Committee for Active School Search, which will involve members from different areas related to childhood, adolescence and human rights, aiming at integration between the different sectors. Seduc also intends to strengthen the Social Protection Network, in partnership with municipal, state, federal bodies, third sector organizations and the private sector, mainly.

Strengthening bonds between students, family and school is also one of the program’s objectives. Therefore, one of Seduc’s main goals is the identification of students at risk of dropping out, dropping out or being excluded from school.

In the opinion of the Secretary of State for Education, Alan Porto, the initiative is extremely important for the public education network, since school dropout is a problem that directly impacts the development and future of students.

“With this program, we establish clear guidelines for active school search, which consists of identifying, registering and monitoring students who are dropping out or dropping out of school,” he explained, highlighting that it is essential that everyone involved in the educational process is engaged on a mission to ensure that no student is left behind.

“For this reason, Ordinance 248 also provides for the formation of a multidisciplinary team to work on the active search, in addition to establishing partnerships with other bodies and entities to expand the reach of this program”, he highlighted.

According to the secretary, municipalities’ adherence to the United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef) School Active Search Platform and the use of tools such as the School Dropout Prevention System and the Infrequent Student Communication Form Platform ( Ficai) will be essential for monitoring students at risk of dropping out of school.

Seduc will also use the Data and Statistical Information Center to provide weekly reports that support the analysis and monitoring of Active School Search. The School Mediation Center will also help by developing actions to ensure that education professionals are clear about analysis methodologies, so that they can intervene quickly in critical situations.

“These are actions that we have already worked on within several public education policies, including Literacy, Access and Permanence and Avalia MT, which are part of the 10-Year Education Plan, which aims to place the state education network among the five most well-established networks. evaluated in the country until 2032”, observed Alan Porto.

Warning

With the No Student Less Program, Seduc reaffirms its commitment to quality education and guaranteeing the rights of children and adolescents.

“We believe that, through this joint work, we will be able to reduce school dropout rates and provide a more inclusive and welcoming educational environment for all our students”, concluded the secretary.
