The award aims to recognize excellence of the press in publicizing the MP’s social actions

The Santa Catarina Association of the Public Ministry promotes the 1st ACMP Journalism Award in 2024, an award designed to recognize the work of the Santa Catarina press in publicizing the activities of the Public Ministry of Santa Catarina. With the theme “The actions of the Public Ministry of Santa Catarina in defense of social interests”, reports can be submitted on all areas of activity of the MPSC in the categories of television journalism, radio journalism, web journalism and print journalism. Registration can be made on the event website until March 29th.

The award is a space for recognition for professionals from different media platforms who are dedicated to communicating in a clear, precise and impactful way the actions of the Public Ministry and their consequences in society. Reports published between January 2023 and March 29, 2024 will be considered and the evaluation of the works will be conducted by a Judging Committee made up of experts in the field, who will consider criteria such as editorial quality, creativity, content relevance, factual accuracy and social impact. “The award will not only recognize the merit of the winners, but will also offer an opportunity for visibility for journalism professionals, as a way of encouraging excellence in journalistic coverage and commitment to ethics and impartiality in the profession”, explains the president of the Association, Alexandre Estefani.

The award ceremony is scheduled to take place in Florianópolis, at the ACMP administrative headquarters, on April 29th. “The Award is an ACMP initiative to recognize the role of the Santa Catarina press in publicizing the activities of the Public Ministry of Santa Catarina. We believe that the partnership between the Public Ministry and the media is essential to promote transparency, strengthen democratic values ​​and expand access to quality information for the population of Santa Catarina”, concludes Estefani.
