The best cooperative in the Unicred National System is in MT | UNICRED MT – A PREMIUM COOPERATIVE INSTITUTION

For the second year in a row, Unicred Mato Grosso was recognized as number 1 by the Unicred System in Brazil. Furthermore, the cooperative was once again highlighted among the individuals affiliated with Unicred Central Conexão, winning the Gestão Diamante award, in an award that took place at the celebration of Central Conexão’s 30th anniversary, on February 2nd.

For President Ronivaldo Lemos, the award proves the high performance of the management, given the results achieved, even in a year of many political and economic challenges. “It is a reflection of the confidence of our members who believe in and expand their participation in Unicred MT’s business”he highlighted.

Unicred MT also received recognition for the Change of Size of the Goiabeiras and Avenida do CPA branches, in Cuiabá, Barra do Garças, Várzea Grande, Lucas do Rio Verde and Sinop. The president also said that, in 2023, the cooperative grew, based on the environmental, social, economic and governance pillars. “The year was a year of learning and we ended the year with victories.”

The cooperative surpassed 18.7 thousand members, with a 10.8% increase in membership in 2023. “In the last five years, Unicred MT has more than doubled in size, with an increase of 132.8%, consolidating itself as one of the largest and most solid credit cooperatives in the country”recalled vice-president João Paulo Fortunato.

Currently, the cooperative holds R$1.682 billion in assets, with growth of 20.6% last year, R$1.306 billion in total deposits, R$241 million in equity and more than R$2 billion in managed resources . In 2023, Unicred MT’s first premium agency was opened outside the state, in Porto Velho (RO), with the reopening of agencies with the same premium concept in Rondonópolis and Sorriso.

President Ronivaldo Lemos explains that all the institution’s growth movements have the cooperative member as a central figure, always valuing the security and longevity of the organization.

“Transparency of information, trust and active participation of our members are pillars for the strong and healthy development of the cooperative”he highlighted.

Unicred MT is the cooperative that generated the largest accumulated surplus result in 2023, when compared to the other 29 co-sisters of the Unicred System, exceeding the volume of R$50 million. In relation to risk, quality, growth and profitability indicators, the institution has ratings from the main risk rating agencies in the market, Fitch Ratings and Moody’s, two of the largest credit risk rating agencies in the world.
