The Federal Police launched an operation, this Wednesday morning (27), against suspected members of a gang responsible for distributing drugs in Espírito Santo. The drugs were sent by post, according to the corporation.
More than 25 federal police officers participate in Operation Raja, which carries out five search and seizure warrants at addresses in Serra and in the municipality of São Mateus, in the North of Espírito Santo.
“The investigations revealed that the scheme covered the receipt of drugs through the Post Office, through postal shipments, coming from other states, with subsequent distribution in Espírito Santo”, stated the Federal, in a note.
Those investigated will be charged with the crime of interstate drug trafficking and association for trafficking. If convicted, the penalty can be up to 25 years in prison.
