The Civil Police of Acre (PCAC), through the Interstate Police Station (Polinter), joined forces with the Civil Police of Mato Grosso to execute a home search warrant at a property located in the Eldorado neighborhood last Monday afternoon ( 25). The operation is part of the investigation into the kidnapping of a businessman from Rio Grande do Norte who traded animal feed in the neighboring state.
According to reports, the suspect targeted by the operation had received approximately R$40,000 in his current account as a result of the crime that occurred on December 4 of the previous year.
According to investigations, the businessman from Rio Grande do Norte was held in prison by criminals while he was negotiating animal feed in Mato Grosso. One of the perpetrators of the crime was arrested in the act on the day of the incident. After the investigation, it was discovered that an individual residing in Acre had received the amounts obtained through serious threat and made several transfers to third parties.
After the search carried out at the suspect’s property, he was subjected to interrogation by the authorities and will be charged by the Mato Grosso Civil Police for participation in the crime. Investigations remain ongoing to clarify all the details and identify other possible parties involved in the case.
