In its 17th edition, the Buteco food 2024 promises to surprise with 143 participating bars competing for prizes. This year, the competition will be divided into three circuits: capital, Baixada Fluminense It is Niterói. The event will start on April 5th and will last until May 5th, with the presence of 47 newcomers among those registered. All competing snacks will be sold for R$35 across the country, reinforcing the motto “We Are All Buteco”.
When it comes to the functioning of the competition, the public plays a crucial role, alongside a professional jury. Both vote and evaluate in person the temperature of the drink, the hygiene of the place, the service and, of course, the competing snack. The weight of the vote is divided equally: 50% from the public and 50% from the jurors. The snack itself represents 70% of the grade, while the other categories have 10% each. At each edition, 20% of bars are disqualified, generating renewal and increasing competitiveness.
Finally, the Rio de Janeiro champion competes in the national contest, the results of which will be revealed in July, during a party held in São Paulo. For information on the complete list of participating bars, simply access the link and inform the participating municipality.
