Massacre leaves 4 dead in Manaus; victims were at drug trafficking meeting, police say | Amazon

A massacre left four people dead and one injured by gunshots on Tuesday night (26), in Manaus. Three of the identified victims are men aged between 19 and 23. The attack took place on land near the Port of São Raimundo, in the West Zone of the capital.

The victims had been summoned to a drug trafficking meeting, when they were surprised by six suspects who arrived at the scene and fired firearms. The information was passed on by the survivor to the team from the 5th Community Interactive Company (Cicom), who responded to the incident at around 6:30 pm.

Three victims were still rescued and taken to the São Raimundo Emergency Care Service (SPA), but two of them did not resist and died in the health unit. The other remains hospitalized, her health status has not been disclosed.

The other two dead were found on the land where the shooting attack took place. The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was called and confirmed the deaths. Some family members were also at the scene and recognized the victims.

“One of the bodies was found in a wooded area, difficult to access, and the fire rescue team was called to help with the removal, together with the IML. Initially the incident was a fight between criminal factions. were gathered together when they were attacked by rivals”, said Sergeant Enilson Pedrosa.

After the repercussions of the incident, teams from Rocam and Tactical Force were called. Until the publication of this article, no suspect had been arrested.
