Lawyer is arrested inside a police station after presenting a false power of attorney to recover a seized car in Natal | large northern river

A 40-year-old criminal lawyer was arrested when he presented a power of attorney with a false signature in the Police Station Specialized in Investigating and Combating Organized Crime (Deicor), in Natal, this Monday (25). He was trying to recover a seized vehicle.

Initially, the lawyer went to the police station on Friday (22) to get details on how to recover the vehicle, which, according to him, was rented by his client.

On Monday (25), he presented a power of attorney allegedly signed by the owner of the vehicle. The lawyer had told the police that the contract did not provide for the return to the rental company.

The police then contacted the owner, who informed that he did not sign any power of attorney and said he did not know the car had been impounded.

The lawyer was then arrested in the act at the police station. As he was carrying out his role, the arrest was accompanied by a representative of the Brazilian Bar Association of RN (OAB/RN).
