Leak in pipeline causes suspension of water supply in 30 cities in RN | large northern river

Water leak in the Monsenhor Expedito pipeline, in RN

A large leak recorded this Tuesday (26) in the Monsenhor Expedito pipeline caused the suspension of water supply to 30 cities in Rio Grande do Norte.

The leak was recorded on the banks of the RN-002 state highway, on a bridge near the Fontes Community, in Monte Alegre.

According to the Rio Grande do Norte Water and Sewage Company (Caern), upon becoming aware of the problem, the company turned off the supply system to contain the leak and take the appropriate measures.

The company did not provide a deadline for repairing the leak and restarting the system.
