The Brasilia Jury Court sentenced a man accused of shooting a rival to death during a gang fight in Varjão. The trial concluded on Wednesday (21/9). The penalty is 19 years and 6 months of imprisonment in a closed regime. The convict cannot appeal freely.
The crime took place on June 25, 2020. According to the complaint filed by the Public Ministry of the Federal District and Territories (MPDFT), Allan de Sousa Brito would have shot the victim for fear of becoming her target.
Security camera footage showed that Allan shot the victim in the back. The man tried to run, but was hit in the back of the head and fell. Allan approached and made one last shot in the head of the rival.
The jurors accepted the two qualifiers pointed out by the MPDFT, of clumsy motivation and appeal that made it difficult to defend the victim. According to the investigations, the disagreements between those involved began during the practice of crimes in Varjão.
