Three robbers who shot dead a man at the door of a bank in August 2021 were sentenced to harsh sentences after a trial at the Court of Justice of the Federal District and Territories (TJDFT). Two of the defendants were sentenced to 30 years’ imprisonment and the third to 27 years. The investigations that resulted in the decision were conducted by the Division for Repression of Robbery and Theft (DRF) of the Coordination for Repression of Property Crimes (Corpatri), of the Civil Police of the DF.

The robbers then fled the scene. The man shot was rescued by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu), which sent him to the Regional Hospital of Ceilândia (HRC). However, he succumbed to his injuries and died in hospital.
