“I’m a McDonald’s customer, but according to them I live in Mc. Because of the repercussions, I met wonderful people who really want to help, the game has changed”, he shared.

According to the message, the amount raised will be used to finance the costs of renting an apartment and financing Bruna’s studies. The woman says she plans to study law and also become a paramedic.

Remember the case

The case, revealed by CBN, gained repercussion at the end of last month. Located between Carlos Góis and Ataulfo de Paiva streets, the McDonald’s unit is in one of the most expensive square meters in Rio.

Bruna and Susane, who are carrying five suitcases, spend the day at the establishment. The place is open from 7am to 5am. Between this period, the two stay outside waiting for the reopening to return to occupy the fast food tables.

In an interview with DAY, they reported difficulties in renting a property in the region and that, therefore, they would be spending time there. For them, the condition would not be a problem.

“People created a problem for me and my mother. We were resolving a situation. We are looking for a place to stay. This situation is common. There are no apartments. Or they put the price up there because of tourism, it’s too difficult. People want to make a profit,” he said.

The two also stated that in Europe and the United States the situation is common. “I found this whole story surreal. I don’t allow anyone to invade my life. I’m furious about these things,” said Bruna. According to Bruna herself, the money used by the two would be sent by her father, who lives in England.

Ostentation

Despite the request for help, on social media, the two share photos of what would be a luxurious life, with clothes, accessories, cosmetics and even designer coffees. On Instagram, Susane and Bruna make several posts in stores such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Jo Malone. They are all based in Ipanema, Leblon, or Copacabana, neighborhoods in the South Zone. Furthermore, they always write the subtitles and texts for publications in English.

In the highlighted posts, there are several photos of products that appear to have been taken inside the store. Furthermore, mother and daughter share images of coffees and sparkling wines they drink at the locations, appearing to have a good relationship with employees.

However, a former saleswoman at a Shopping Leblon store informed the DAY that mother and daughter are “marked figures” in the establishment. According to the woman, who preferred to remain anonymous, they went to the store weekly, went in, chose some pieces and tried them on. Then, they would consume the cake and coffee that are served on site, and leave.
