A municipal guard from Artur Nogueira was compulsorily admitted to a rehabilitation clinic. The action took place on the 5th and had the support of the Military Police and health agents, with the participation of the GM command as well.
Military police were called to the GM headquarters, in the city center, to support the coercive hospitalization of a GCM.
The PMs went to the scene, together with the GM command, and made contact with the municipal guard, who initially resisted, but ended up getting into an ambulance and being taken to the Emergency Room.
After receiving medication to calm him down, he was taken to the clinic, where he was admitted.
When contacted, the City Hall expressed its opinion in a note about the case.

“According to the Security Secretariat, the GCM was already away from its work activities.
However, he was displaying relatively aggressive behavior, leading to complaints from several people and the action of the GCM Internal Affairs Department.
However, it was clear that he had a behavioral disorder, probably due to psychiatric disorder(s).
As a result, the Internal Affairs Department, together with the GCM Command, submitted him to a psychiatric evaluation, where this was confirmed.
Therefore, with the medical opinion and the request of family members of the GCM, his involuntary hospitalization was carried out.
With this, the aim was to avoid risks to the physical integrity of people subject to the GCM’s actions and to his own, as he placed himself at constant risk, as well as the population.
It is expected that, once recovered, with this certified by a specialist doctor, he will return to his normal activities.”
