Dog owners in Salvador will have the opportunity to immunize their animals for free, this Thursday (2) and Friday (3). Doses of the V10 vaccine will be distributed, which is essential for the prevention of diseases such as distemper, parvovirus, coronavirus, adenovirus, parainfluenza, canine infectious hepatitis, in addition to four types of leptospirosis.

300 tokens will be distributed per day, starting at 9am, and the animals will be served on a first-come, first-served basis. The guardian must present an identification document with a photo, the animal’s vaccination card (if available), and proof of residence. The vaccination will take place at Travessa Diana Santos Costa, 14, in Marechal Rondon.

The vaccine will be available for the first and second dose. If you have never had the vaccine and are a puppy, you must observe an interval of 21 to 28 days between doses to acquire antibodies against diseases. The booster dose should also not exceed the maximum period of 30 days for application. In extreme cases of illness, vaccination may be delayed. It will be possible to vaccinate up to two animals per CPF.
