The president of CRM-AL explains that, for a doctor from one state to be able to work in another, they must temporarily register with the council. “Then it would be a provisional authorization for up to 90 days to work. This would be noted in her professional card and she would be supported, being able to use the CRM of that other state.”
Furthermore, the Alagoas CRM received information that she always changed the service location.
She eventually moved her practice, so some people started to question her because they didn’t know her here in the city. This was the first suspicion, and they asked the council if she really was a doctor.
A surgeon, who asked that his name not be revealed, worked at the same medical center as the fake nutritionist and says that he even “had a coffee” with the woman when she proposed a partnership to serve his patients who needed to lose weight to go through procedures. “She told me that she was from Rio Grande do Sul and that she came here because she married a man from Alagoas.”
One point that caught the doctor’s attention was that she said that she did not use injectable medication, one of the most common and profitable specialties in nutrition.
