Eat several times a day: 5 to 6 times, with small meals and snacks, small amounts cause less nausea than large amounts;

Avoid foods with strong smells: such as coffee, fish, onion and garlic;

If you can, ask someone to prepare your food: the smell of the food also causes nausea. Without forgetting, of course, to avoid contact with strong odors such as perfumes.

It is also important to know that, normally, nausea subsides a few days after applying the treatment. When chemotherapy ends, these symptoms also disappear.

However, as nausea usually has several causative factors, such as other medications, gastritis, some degree of intestinal obstruction, radiotherapy, among others, it may persist. Therefore, it is very important to identify all causes of nausea during treatment so that they can be specifically treated.
