Do some medications need to be administered at an ideal time for their effect to be optimized? This is the case with simvastatin, the substance used to reduce cholesterol in patients who have excess cholesterol in their blood. Contrary to what many people think, our biggest source of cholesterol does not come from outside (food), but from within (that is, that produced by our liver). So, for those who have high cholesterol: your case can be justified mainly by two reasons, a diet rich in fat plus excessive cholesterol synthesis.
