Prince William said this Friday (10) that his wife, Kate Middleton, “is doing well” amid her cancer treatment, in a rare comment on the Princess of Wales’ health.
The statement was made by the son of King Charles III after being questioned while visiting St. Mary’s Community Hospital on the Isles of Scilly in southwest England. “She’s fine, thank you.”
William met the team and heard about the new integrated health and social care facility yet to be built. At the time, a head nurse at the hospital, Lynda McHale, gave the prince a letter, written by her granddaughter and addressed to Kate, with wishes for a speedy recovery.
The Brit, who is also known as the Duke of Cornwall, was on a two-day trip to the region in his first official engagement outside London since Kate’s illness was announced.
He even met with representatives of local companies and schoolchildren. Furthermore, he was applauded by local residents during his visit to the region.
Middleton, 42, revealed that she had cancer in mid-March, following a “media storm” over her health, having “disappeared” since undergoing abdominal surgery in January.
After months without appearing in public, the princess revealed the diagnosis and explained that the health problem was discovered through some tests after the operation. .
