The interviewee is Bruno Fonseca, 18 years old, is a pre-candidate for councilor in Santana de Parnaíba. Fonseca has 90 thousand subscribers on his YouTube channel and 52.4 thousand followers on his Instagram page.
Criticism of the coverage of Rede Globo to the tragedy in Rio Grande do Sul have been frequent in live broadcasts and recordings, including from the broadcaster itself. On Tuesday (May 7), the presenter of National Newspaper William Bonner was recording in Porto Alegre when a man began to question the work of the Globe.
“Why weren’t you with us during this rescue? […] Globo was broadcasting Madonna while the gaucho was underwater, Canoas was underwater, people died”said the man at the time.
In the bulletin released on Friday (May 10) by the State Civil Defense, the number of deaths rose to 116 and 143 people are missing. In total, 1.9 million residents were affected by the floods.
