José Luiz Datena was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Hospital Sírio Libanês, in São Paulo, to undergo corrective surgery. The information was confirmed by the presenter this Friday (3).

On his social networks, the journalist explained that he carried out the procedure to correct a surgery carried out six months ago. “First of all, I would like to thank all of you for your messages. I underwent surgery to correct a previous surgery, which was carried out six months ago,” he declared in Instagram stories.

Without giving details of the procedure, Datena also explained that she should be discharged from hospital on Saturday (4) and that she will return to her work at Band on the morning of next Monday (6). “Thank you for the prayers and may God return them to the whole of Brazil”, he concluded.

It is worth remembering that Datena has been removed from command of the Band’s “Brasil Urgente” program since Monday (29). Command of the attraction passed to the presenter’s son, Joel Datena.
