Influencer and Tiktoker Maddy Baloy, aged 26, died this Wednesday (1st) due to complications from cancer. The information was confirmed by the North American magazine People. Maddy shared her cancer treatment journey on social media.
According to the digital influencer’s fiancé, Louis Risher, “Madison passed away last night”, and would have left “surrounded by love”. The statement published by the magazine states that Maddy died hand in hand with her fiancé.
May 1st is also Louis’ birthday, who said: “I turned 27 yesterday, actually. I was holding her hand all day and that’s all I needed.”
The influencer had more than 400 thousand followers on TikTok and accumulated more than 7 million likes on her videos. She shared the family’s routine, the details of the treatment and the evolution of the disease.
Evolution
Maddy said she thought she had “a worm” or some kind of stomach virus. She worked in kindergarten at an elementary school in Shore Acres, Florida. However, after not improving, she sought specialized help, which showed that she had tumors in her large intestine.
Even with surgical treatment and chemotherapy sessions, the disease continued to advance. Maddy published her last video on March 5th, explaining her story.
