In Renascer in 1993, Rachid shows the letter to Zé Inocêncio and says that the person who abused Marianinha was not her father, Venâncio, but it is also not clear who the perpetrator of this crime would have been.

In the remake, Teca will arrive at Morena’s house, who lives on the old Belarmino farm, and feels quite apprehensive, as if she already knew that place or had suffered there.

The characters feed a rumor that the colonel abused Marianinha, who worked with her mother, Quitéria, on the farm. However, this was never confirmed in the original version, and could also be maintained in this adaptation.
