Eddie Murphy film shooting leaves several injured

Several people were injured in an accident on the set of a new film. Eddie MurphyAmazon MGM studios reported on Tuesday (23).

The accident occurred on the set of “The Pickup”, a comedy about robberies, last Saturday, during the recording of an action sequence.

“Unfortunately, the sequence did not go as planned and several crew members were injured,” a spokesperson said.

The studio is “still in the process of gathering information about what happened and why,” they added, without providing further details.

The film stars Murphy, Pete Davidson and Keke Palmer. However, the incident affected the film’s second unit, an industry term that refers to filming done outside of main production.

Second units are generally responsible for filming dangerous scenes and do not usually have the participation of the main actors.

The action sequence had been rehearsed and “all safety precautions were reviewed beforehand and monitored during recording,” the studio said.

“The well-being of the entire crew and cast is our priority, and we will continue to insist on the highest industry safety standards during production,” he added.

According to the specialized website Deadline, the accident occurred on a set in Atlanta, in the US state of Georgia.
