Queen Camilla surprises when talking about Kate Middleton’s health

During her most recent public appearance, the Queen Camilla offered a hopeful update on the health of the Princess Kate Middleton after she publicly announced her cancer diagnosis.

Talking to the people she met during her meeting at the Shrewsbury Farmers Market on Wednesday (27), the wife of King Charles III commented:

“I know Catherine is delighted with all the kind wishes and support,” the 76-year-old Queen told royal watchers.

Camilla was photographed greeting the crowd during the outing and even received a rose at one point. She also smilingly held a sign in support of the Princess of Wales, which read: “Send our love to Kate.”

Kensington Palace had confirmed that Kate cried emotionally, seeing so much love and support during her cancer treatment.

The 42-year-old princess said her cancer diagnosis came as a “huge shock” to her and her family.

“It’s been an incredibly difficult few months for our whole family, but I had a fantastic medical team who looked after me really well, so I’m really grateful,” Kate said as she thanked fans for their “support” and “understanding” amid her absence.

“In January I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time my condition was considered non-cancerous. The surgery was successful, however, post-operative tests revealed that there was cancer,” she said.

“So my medical team recommended that I undergo preventive chemotherapy treatment and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.”

Kate explained that she and her husband, Prince William, have been trying to “process and manage this privately” for the sake of their three children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five.
