Gratuities were suspended in the context of the pandemic

The Administration and Public Service Commission of the Chamber of Deputies debates this Thursday (9) the unfreezing of the time count for granting bonuses to public servants.

The debate will be held at 2 pm, in plenary 8.

Deputy Professor Luciene Cavalcante (Psol-SP), who proposed the debate, explains that Complementary Law 173/20, published in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, imposed the suspension of time counting for the purposes of annual, triennial, five-year periods, sixth part, bonus leave and other equivalent mechanisms for public servants.

“It turns out that public servants from the Union, states, Federal District and municipalities continued to carry out their activities and kept all public services available to the Brazilian population in operation during the pandemic, so that they are entitled to receive time bonuses of service provided”, he states.

She defends that PLP 21/23 be approved in the Plenary, which provides for the retroactive granting of time counting between May 27, 2020 and December 31, 2021 for the purposes of bonuses for length of service.
