Manaus/AM – Former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) arrived in Manaus, this Friday (3), amid opposition protests in Ponta Negra. This Thursday (2), around sixteen crosses were fixed on the beach’s sand strip, to remember the more than 14 thousand deaths from Covid-19 in Amazonas.

One of the organizers of the event, Civil Police Chief João Victor Tayah (PT), who is a pre-candidate for councilor, published details of the protest on his social media. In the publication, he criticizes Bolsonaro’s management, who according to him, denied help to contain the spread of the disease in Amazonas.

“We were, in fact, experimental guinea pigs for a theory of herd immunity, they pushed us with a medicine that did not have any type of effectiveness with chloroquine, while they denied vaccines and people died on hospital stretchers”, said the pre-candidate .

Bolsonaro and Michelle Bolsonaro arrived this morning in the capital of Amazonas and intend to stay until Saturday (4), with an agenda that includes the launch of Alberto Neto’s (PL) pre-candidacy for Manaus City Hall and the delivery of the title of Citizen of Amazonas to Michelle.
