City Hall renews contract and guarantees an additional R$3.6 million to the Arapiraca Regional Hospital

Mayor Luciano Barbosa renewed, this Thursday (2), the contract with the Arapiraca Regional Hospital (HRA) and guaranteed an additional R$3.6 million per month to serve the population.

The signing and renewal of the contract was attended by the director of the HRA, doctor Dénis Moura, Glifson Magalhães, and the municipal secretary of Health, nurse Rafaella Albuquerque.

Also participating in the meeting were the superintendent of Specialized Care, nurse Edna Veríssimo; superintendent of Regulation and Control, nurse Joana D’arc, and the Outpatient coordinator, Nadja Vieira.

In addition to the monthly transfer of R$3.6 million by Arapiraca City Hall, the Arapiraca Regional Hospital will also receive resources of around R$1 million, through a parliamentary amendment by federal deputy Daniel Barbosa.

With an average of 11 thousand services per month, the HRA is responsible for serving residents of Arapiraca and another 50 municipalities in the Agreste and Sertão de Alagoas.

“This act represents an important step for the hospital. We will now have a fixed and guaranteed budget to help meet pent-up demands for elective surgeries, and some specialized procedures for the population of Arapiraca”, revealed director and doctor Dénis Moura.

In turn, Mayor Luciano Barbosa reaffirmed the municipal management’s commitment to public health and the quality of life of Arapiraquenses.

“We know the importance of the regional hospital for the residents of Arapiraca and the entire region”, highlighted Mayor Luciano Barbosa, citing the actions that are being developed in partnership with hospitals and the entire municipal network to strengthen the Unified Health System.
