Patos de Minas records 381 positive cases and three deaths from Covid-19 in 2024

Patos de Minas has 381 positive cases of Covid-19 registered in 2024, according to Epidemiological Surveillance. Three deaths from Covid-19 were also confirmed this year.

Deaths from Covid-19 occurred on Jan. 18, Feb. 8. and March 8, all victims are male, aged between 63 and 75 years.

The vaccine against the disease became part of the childhood vaccination calendar (from six months onwards). For priority groups, the recommendation is for a booster dose of bivalent this year.

According to the vaccination strategy published in 2024 by the Ministry of Health, the bivalent vaccine is intended for priority groups, including people aged 60 or over, immunocompromised people, pregnant women and women who have recently given birth, health workers, people with permanent disabilities or comorbidities.

From April 3rd, the Covid-19 vaccination scale (Pfizer bivalent) in the municipality will be applied on the following dates and neighborhoods:

4th Itamarati, Alto Limoeiro, Jd. Paulistano and Várzea

5th Brazil, Father Eustáquio, Christ the Redeemer, Jd. Panoramic and New Horizon

·
6th Sebastião Amorim, Jd. Esperança, Abner Afonso and Guanabara
