Students from the Municipal Network receive the medals won at the Brazilian Financial Education Olympiad

Awarded at the Brazilian Financial Education Olympiad (OBEF) 2023 edition, students from the Municipal Education Network participated, this Tuesday (26), in the awards ceremony at the Federal University of Alagoas (Ufal) Santana do Ipanema campus.

Among the more than 60 thousand registered in the competition throughout Brazil, three students from the municipality of Arapiraquense won medals at OBEF, including Ana Luísa and José Lucas, from the 9th year of Escola Domingos Lopes, who received medals for 3rd place in level 4 of the Olympiad – referring to students in the 8th and 9th years of the final grades of elementary school – and the student Kelwin Ferreira, from Escola Divaldo Suruagy, gold medalist in the state stage, also being awarded silver in the national stage.

They were encouraged by the Scientific Development Center (NDC), of the Municipal Department of Education, of Arapiraca City Hall, which recognizes the importance of their participation in scientific Olympiads as an important tool for developing skills and competencies necessary for the development of the individual, in addition to being a practical and easily accessible strategy for strengthening teaching and learning in the classroom.

I congratulate the responsible groups and in the person of Professor Luiz Paulo, I also congratulate the Divaldo Suruagy and Domingos Lopes schools for supporting these talented young people”, says Eliete Rocha, Arapiraca’s education secretary.
