InCor seeks volunteers for research into impacts on cognitive functions in those recovered from Covid-19

-

InCor – Instituto do Coração do Hospital das Clínicas da FMUSP – is looking for volunteers of both sexes, aged between 8 and 88 years old, who have recovered from covid-19, for a study that will evaluate the impact of the virus on cognitive functions, with the help of the game MentalPlus, a platform that identifies changes in memory, attention, language and executive function.

Due to this methodology, the participation of people who have cognitive impairment that is incapacitating them for understanding the rules of this digital game is prohibited; immobility of upper limbs and hands; and low visual acuity for objects and stimuli offered by the game.

InCor’s research follows careful protocols of good practice in clinical studies, certified by Cappesq (Ethics Committee for Analysis of Research Projects of the Hospital das Clínicas of the Faculty of Medicine of USP) and Conep (National Health Council / Ministry of Health ).

Volunteers must reside in the capital or greater São Paulo, or have easy access to InCor to participate in the study in person. Interested parties should contact us via email at lssv@uspfazerbr; livia valentin
