After five years without stepping on the red carpet at the Met Gala, which takes place this Monday (6) in New York, Zendaya made history with a breathtaking look. From the French brand Maison Margielathe dress that mixes shades of blue and green was custom made especially for her.

The actress brought a new perspective to the topic Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashionwhich had the dress-code The Garden of Timein Portuguese The Garden of Time. The dress creates volume on one of the shoulders with the fabric that resembles tulle and goes down to the back. The applications on the straps and near the waist match perfectly with the colors of the fabrics and discreetly reference the theme with the shape of fruits and leaves.

The production accessories draw attention in themselves. The hat along with the veil are characteristic of the brand, making the look even more dramatic with the giant feather attached to the top. Still, the most iconic detail was the little bird on the side of the actress’ neck.
Despite being a custom-made dress, it is very reminiscent of vintage Margiela models due to the mermaid-style train and the veil as an accessory. The production was also designed by LawRoachfriend and stylist by Zendaya, who created the biggest mystery on her Instagram profile about what the chosen look would be.
