In an interview with Jimmy FallonIn 2022, Madonna commented on David’s style. A self-confessed mother, she praised the young man: “He puts on any clothes and he looks amazing in it. It’s very annoying! He wears my clothes and he looks better in them.” The queen of pop even relaxed: “He can even wear a dress and look macho!”

The 18-year-old, who is also in Brazil for ‘The Celebration Tour’, has been seen several times wearing Madonna clothes, as well as other ‘feminine’ pieces – clothes have no gender, guys! -. David is on ‘The Celebration Tour’ alongside his mother and brothers

David Banda was adopted by Madonna and her then husband Guy Riche in 2006, during the diva’s trip to Malawi, Africa. Like his mother, he also pursued a musical career and takes part in some iconic moments on ‘The Celebration Tour’. He is the boy who appears in the performance of ‘Like a Prayer’, representing Prince – the singer played guitar on the album’s title track -, on ‘Mother and Father’ and ‘Act of Contrition’.

“As The Celebration Tour is a retrospective of my life, I thought it made perfect sense to include all my children who still live with me in the show (…) When I go on tour, nothing brings me more happiness knowing that we are all working on same show creating the magic together. It would be boring if they were just traveling from hotel to hotel and occasionally came to watch the show,” explained the pop star in an interview with ‘W Magazine’.

On Thursday (2), David went up to the stage set up in Copacabana to rehearse alongside his mother. Wearing a white cap, he played the guitar during the sound check of the tracks ‘Don’t Tell Me’ and ‘La Isla Bonita’, which took on a new look mixed with samba. The musician also made a point of appearing on the balcony of the Copacabana Palace, the hotel where he is staying with his family, to say goodbye to his fans!
