Buckingham Palace has issued a statement saying that King Charles III will resume his public engagements as he undergoes cancer treatment. According to information from the TheMirror, the monarch is believed to be desperate to see his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet, children of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The UK ruler reportedly invited the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to spend the summer at Balmoral, but royal commentator Charlotte Griffiths said while appearing on the show TalkTV who believes Meghan will not accept the invitation.

– Even if Harry comes, I can’t imagine a world in which Meghan comes with the children, it’s very sad.

She further explained her opinion:

– Meghan was never very fond of rural royal life and the kind of cold radiators of two bars and luggage rooms. I mean, can you imagine Meghan respecting in the highlands all summer long?

The newspaper also reported that Prince Harry would be extremely disappointed and desperate to spend more time in the UK with his little ones, but doesn’t know how he feels about taking them. The duke is expected to visit his homeland to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of the Invictus Games, a traditional sporting event founded for veteran members of the armed forces who have been injured. There are still doubts whether the monarch will actually travel to celebrate the date.

It is worth remembering that, according to information from the The Daily Beast, plans for the king’s funeral are said to be being updated as he battles cancer. Operation Menai Bridge is reportedly being regularly reviewed.
