Danilo Gentili’s main partner on the SBT program The Noite, comedian Murilo Couto left the broadcaster and the late-night attraction last Thursday (25). He was honored in a special program.
The departure was not due to fights or hurt feelings. Couto wanted to dedicate himself more to his internet project, which has more than 2 million followers, and to his current stand-up show, which is a success with the public.
“I’m crying even now”, Couto simply said about leaving. The comedian received a tribute on last Thursday’s program (25), where he recalled great moments over ten years on SBT.
Murilo Couto had worked with Danilo Gentili since 2011, when he was hired by Band to host the talk show Agora é Tarde, Gentili’s first interview feature on TV. “Today I just want to say thank you. Danilo, you are a true friend. What you did for me doesn’t exist. I love you man,” he wrote on Instagram.
SBT has not confirmed a replacement for now. Before working with Gentili, Murilo Couto worked as an actor at Globo, where he made “Malhação ID” in 2010.
Murilo Couto’s farewell achieved good ratings and increased The Noite’s numbers. In the general average, from 00:33 to 01:43, The Noite” scored 3.5 points with 4.4 peak points in Greater São Paulo and secured second place alone.
Globo scored 7 and Record just 1 point. Each point is equivalent to 191 thousand viewers in the capital of São Paulo.
