Let him know that this is the moment, yes! Jão participated in PodPah this week and opened up about singers’ concerns about streaming numbers, in addition to sending a clear message to the haters. In the interview conducted by Igão and Mítica, the artist spoke again about the people who say they don’t know him and analyzed his musical trajectory so far.

According to Jão, you only know it’s successful when fans buy tickets for the show. He also reflected on the “need” to release music all the time. “We were eating along the edges and I think that’s chic, you know? Because what I like to do is: write, release my album, launch my tour and that’s what I know how to do. I think there is pressure and a desire on the part of Brazilian artists to be omnipresent, doing everything, releasing music every 15 days, then they do agronomy, everyone does agronomy, you know?”, explained.

“This number is really crazy. As everything is so available, performing a number is really crazy, because you can release a song a week, you can do a million things, and you only know that what you’ve built is real when people pay for the ticket. , go to the show and prove that you are there”continued.

In January, Jão sold out two dates at the Allianz Parque stadium, in São Paulo, with his “SUPERTURNÊ”, marking the biggest audience of his career. “My first show was for 30 people in São Paulo and I thought it was magnificent. All 30 tickets were sold out, R$15 each. And then the second one had 200, then there were a thousand, four thousand. There at [turnê] ‘Pirate’, we made it for 50 thousand by adding the dates and now we’re going to make it for 150 thousand”, celebrated.

At the beginning of April, the singer’s show at Arena Fonte Nova, in Salvador, was postponed until the match between Bahia and Vitória, in the final of the Campeonato Baiano, was scheduled for the 7th. Jão’s performance would be the day before, on Saturday (6), but, as it had a large structure, the stadium administration feared that the equipment would not be dismantled in time for the match.

The show had been sold out since December last year. At the time, the singer’s fans were revolted, while fans from Bahia and Vitória agreed with the cancellation of the performance.
