Singer Elis Regina (1945-1982) lived in a three-story mansion overlooking the sea in São Conrado, in Rio de Janeiro, for five years. She bought it in 1967 and lived there until 1972, but the property has always been associated with the Brazilian music star’s name. A month ago, the current owners put the property up for sale for 1.5 million euros, approximately R$8 million.

The house, with 350 m², is a project by architect Fernando Portuguese and follows the style of the 1950s, with tall doors and wooden windows. The facade walls are in blue and white and, inside, a more neutral palette. There are three bedrooms, a suite, large living room, bathroom, toilet, swimming pool, dry sauna and deck overlooking the beach.

The property has belonged, since 2011, to a French executive, owner of a company specializing in high-luxury properties, and was available for rent at a price of R$5,000 per night.

Elis Regina bought the house when she started living with music producer and composer Ronaldo Bôscoli. The wedding party took place there and the first birthdays of the couple’s son, João Marcello Bôscoli, were celebrated at the mansion.
