Christiane Torloni announces departure from Globo; remember the actress’s career

April 1st was busy in the world of television… In addition to SBT officializing the end of the partnership with Eliana, Christiane Torloni announced his departure from Globe after almost 50 years of service.

The 67-year-old actress used social media to announce the termination of the contract. She will no longer be part of the station’s fixed cast. Christiane was, for many years, one of the main names in the house.

On Sunday (31), she was present on The Masked Singer Brasil. Torloni used excerpts from her participation in the program to show that she is calm about leaving.

“And with this very fun moment I end, with a flourish, my partnership with TV Globo, which, in the 1970s, was called Venus Platinada! I am proud to have lived through the Golden Era of a company that had the best of its time!”, exalted the actress.

Art above all

Christiane Torloni took advantage of the post to remember the first soap opera she starred in, Gina (1978), which will have six chapters available on streaming on the 15th.

“It’s worth checking out Fragmentos, from Globoplay, with images of ‘Gina’, my first protagonist! […] I’m grateful to everyone who contributed and who continues to root for me! I learned that my art, more than entertainment, is comfort and hope for many who live alone, hospitalized or in nursing homes. My vocation is my north! Let’s continue”, he concluded.

Christiane’s last complete soap opera on Globo was O Tempo Não Para (2018), bringing Carmen Tercena to life. Last year, Torloni made a special appearance in Vai Na Fé, as herself.

Successes and more successes

Christiane Torloni debuted on Globo through the series Caso Especial, in 1975. The following year, she had her first soap opera: Duas Vidas. In the 1980s, she accumulated hits such as Baila Comigo (1981), Elas por Elas (1982) and Louco Amor (1983).

After the heroine Jô Penteado, from A Gata Comeu (1985), and the villain Fernanda, from the remake of Selva de Pedra (1986), Christiane went to Manchete, where she starred in Corpo Santo (1987) and Kananga do Japan (1989).

The return to the broadcaster that designed it included titles such as A Viagem (1994), Heads & Tails (1995), Tower of Babel (1998), Um Anjo Caiu do Céu (2001), Mulheres Apaixonadas (2003), América (2005), Caminho das Indias (2009), Tititi (2010) and Fina Estampa (2011).
