“Dear donor, we still can’t know each other or know who we are… but I already consider you SO MUCH! You donated your marrow without knowing who to. Without asking for anything in return. Ahh, if only everyone in the world was like that… you I only knew that I was an adult and that I needed it urgently. And he didn’t hesitate. He went there, took the necessary exams and donated. And with that you are giving me my second chance! You are giving me my life back”, she began to say .
She continued: “I’m writing as if you were reading it, because it gives me a good feeling to be able to thank you. While I can’t really write to you, I write here in my imagination. And while I can’t thank you in person, I thank God! Wonderful God who gave me so many blessings in life and today he gave me this one more. A donor 100% compatible with me… my marrow ‘twin’! Since the day I found out they found me, I’ve just been grateful. And I will remain eternally grateful.”
“We still have a way to go… we need to wait for the bone marrow to ‘take’ so I can be discharged from the hospital. Then continue to take care of myself and isolate myself for a while, doing a lot of monitoring. But I have to celebrate the victories and today’s was GIANT!!! 03/27- the day I received my NEW MARROW!
