Taesa (TAEE11) ended the first quarter of 2024 with IFRS net profit of R$374.0 million, which represents a drop of 3.3% compared to the same period last year.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) IFRS totaled R$558.2 million in 1Q24, an increase of 2% compared to 1Q23.

The IFRS Ebitda margin reached 76.3% between January and March this year, a drop of 2.7 pp compared to the margin recorded in 1Q23.

IFRS net revenue totaled R$731.3 million in the first quarter of this year, growth of 5.5% compared to the same stage in 2023.

Costs, Expenses and Depreciation and Amortization totaled R$187.3 million in 1Q24, 25.0% higher when compared to 1Q23. PMSO costs totaled R$99.0 million, registering an annual increase of 29.8%.

The net financial result was negative at R$303.9 million in the first quarter of 2024, an increase of 7.9% over the financial losses in the same stage of 2023.

On March 31, 2024, the company’s net debt was R$8.801 billion, an increase of 3.3% compared to December 2023.

The company’s Board of Directors approved the distribution of earnings, collected based on the interim financial statements prepared on March 31, 2024, in the amount of R$144.9 million, as interest on equity (JCP).
