Who are the leaders with the best reputation in Brazil?

Luiza Trajano occupies 1st place for the 7th consecutive year and the presence of women among the leaders with the best reputation grows

For the seventh consecutive year, Luiza Helena Trajano leads the ranking of leaders with the best reputation in Brazil of consultancy Merco. “I was very honored. My responsibility and commitment to the country only increase”, wrote the president of the board of Magazine Luiza on her LinkedIn profile.

The 10th edition of the Merco Business Leaders ranking also brings Fábio Barbosa, CEO of Natura, and Cristina Junqueira, from Nubank, completing the top three. Among the top 10 are professionals who founded their companies, such as Junqueira and Alê Costa, from Cacau Showand executives who gained space in the leadership of large companies, such as Fábio Coelho and Tânia CosentinoCEOs of Google and Microsoft, respectively.

The female presence stands out: in the last 10 years – between 2013 and 2023 –, the number of women on the list increased by 350%. “This advance reflects not only a positive change in perceptions, but also a recognition of the contribution of women in the corporate scenario”, highlights Lylian Brandão, CEO of Merco Brasil.

The consultancy carries out corporate surveys in 16 countries in Latin America and Europe. The ranking of Business Leaders was prepared based on a survey of 522 directors of companies that earn more than R$200 million in the country.

Of all the nominees, the 100 best classified are subjected to analysis by experts who evaluate communication skills, management and strategic vision, commercial vision, leadership, encouragement of corporate social responsibility, talent and international projection.
