Prepared in conjunction with agriculture and livestock federations, rural unions, producers and sectoral entities, the 51-page document reflects the results of meetings held in different regions of the country.

The text, which includes seven chapters ranging from fundamental guidelines to risk management and the capital market, highlights the urgency of actions to face the challenges faced by the agricultural sector, especially in the face of climate adversities.

The CNA highlights the need to reevaluate available agricultural policy instruments, such as rural credit, rural insurance and minimum price guarantee policy, in order to mitigate the negative impacts of climate and the market on agricultural activity.

Among the ten proposals released, the Confederation emphasizes the importance of guaranteeing a supplement of R$2.1 billion to the Rural Insurance Premium Subsidy Program in 2024, totaling R$3 billion, and R$4 billion for 2025.

Furthermore, the need to make R$570 billion in financeable resources available for the 2024/2025 PAP stands out, with the guarantee that these resources are available throughout the entire harvest.

The CNA’s proposals aim to promote the sustainable development of the agricultural and livestock sector, guaranteeing the financial security of producers and the food supply to the Brazilian population.
