Taxation program

In relation to ICMS, the Attorney’s Office has held meetings with businesspeople and taxation experts to present the program, clarify doubts and receive suggestions, aiming to increase adherence and avoid judicialization.

“We have done bold publicity work. The taxpayer may not join, but he must know that [o programa] exists,” the prosecutor told Sheet.

“It’s a different way of looking at fundraising. Less belligerent”, explained Coimbra. “Something that works for the State works for the taxpayer and can be accommodated without prejudice to the fiscal interest.”
